So true, sister. I think actions put the pedal to the metal of dreams. I had a fairytale in my head for four years and had only written a smidgen of it until nanowrimo. No amount of good thoughts go me to that point. The opportunity, the group support mentality, the creativity and the dream all had to intersect at that one moment in time to make it happen.
Julie, dear, this might not be a cutting-edge, postmodern wrestle with life and faith, but it's a damn good article! I wanted to shout "Amen!"
Honestly, I found it inspiring and just what I needed to hear. Get out there and make it happen! Dream can come true, but you have to get behind them and push.
I had a customer in tonight that believed that he could use any power cord for the charger to his XBOX 360 controller. His belief was palpable :-).
Nothing I said could convince him. He believed. He asked for a PSP charger, a PS2 power cord, anything. "C'mon don't you just have something that plugs into the back?" I was pretty sure he was going to return it when his belief was not enough.
I finally just told him that I was not going to sell him anything. He could either buy a whole new charger or go home and look for his cord.

Nope, belief alone is not sufficient.
Julie,
Dedication? Hard work? Are you becoming Republican? Egads!
