Harry Potter Cookies

We are enjoying our homemade Potter cookies, though. Can you spot Snape or Ron?

I'm thinking Snape is the center cookie, second row from the top.

The museum Ikuni works at had a HP book party. She dressed as Snape and talked in a British accent the whole night. :-)

How does your family manage the release of a new Harry Potter book? Do you all buy your own copy, or just one and you all take turns reading it out loud?

I have no idea who Snape or Ron even are!

Musing, you're right! :)

Dave, we have three copies. Johannah and Jacob bought their own and I bought one extra for the rest of the family who wanted to start it while the other two were reading theirs. I know. Absurd.

I finished last night. Caitrin is about 200 pages in and Liam is about three chapters in. Jon starts today. :D

Great finish to a terrific series.

Three copies to a family seems almost reasonable, considering the eagerness with which so many people want to find out what happens. :) Plus it avoids the problem of who will get the books when the kids eventually move out.

I have considered at some point, after the hype has died down some, reading the series through all in one consecutive stretch, just to see what it is like.

Love the cookies and Snape and Ron seem obvious
how could one mistake the straight, greasy hair or bright red hair swept aside so his eyes show

My favorite is Voldermort there on the bottom

BTW, I finished the book last night, too, and am ready to discuss!

I had never read any of the HP books, opting to take the easy way out and watch the movies. However, after my wife and I went to see the latest Potter movie last week (which was really good, by the way), I decided that perhaps I should be reading them. We already had the first five in the house (I tore through the first one within 24 hours over the weekend), and A. ordered numbers 6 and 7 from Amazon (they should arrive any day now).

I will say I've been pleasantly surprised -- great reads. I love the cookies, too -- and REALLY admire your bravery in going to the store the night of the release. I went to our local Borders store earlier that evening, prior to the chaos; I couldn't have taken the mad rush at midnight!
