that during the Bush years, the Republicans oversaw the multiple fronts of the so-called "War on Terror" (the one thing I would never want to trust a Republican to oversee given their myopia, inability to see "the other" and their "bomb first, ask later" style of international diplomacy), while we are now in the Obama years, and suddenly the Democrats are in charge of the largest money crisis since the Great Depression (honestly, my conservative roots still make me a bit queasy turning over that power to the gov't, despite wanting to trust the president on this one)?
Seriously.
It's like a big cosmic joke.

Bush would have said it's "ironical". And that's the "War on Terrr".
That God sure has a sense of humor, doesn't she...
But do cosmic jokes have a punch line? If so, I'm still waiting for it.

I think life is a movie that has no plot and has an abrupt ending that doesn't make sense.
Anyone around my house knows my standard answer to questions about the new administration.. and my conservative 28 year old has a lot of questions.. the answer I give is that I am giving a 6 month period of grace to the new prez.. then it is judgment day :)
That said, I have to say that I have a lot of concerns about Obama's big government answers to every problem.. but I am waiting and hoping he knows what he is doing.
Well, here it is June 4 and I think it's clear - he has no clue what he's doing. That big ole stimulus package - what exactly did it stimulate? 9.2 % unemployment as of this morning.
Honestly, Julie, I know you got all tired of "conservative talk radio" and all, but I think Rush et al had this guy figured out - too bad more people didn't listen.
Wall Street is up 10%. It was down 35% in Bush's last year...
