With a win, Ohio State (10-1, 6-1 Big Ten) would:
- match its longest winning streak in the rivalry at four straight.
- win a third straight conference championship, including consecutive outright titles for the first time in a half-century.
- likely earn a spot in the Rose Bowl for the first time since 1997.

No predictions or chest-thumping from me on behalf of the Wolverines though. I ain't going there... (thus also forfeiting my right to crow if U of M actually manages to take care of business today.) But come next fall, pending Derek's acceptance and enrollment, it may indeed be a different story (it also wouldn't hurt to see a new head coach in Ann Arbor, sooner rather than later!)
