Our discussion group wound up its investigation of the book She Who Is by Elizabeth Johnson. The vase is a thank you gift. Pretty appropriate, don't you think? ;-)

Thanks for leading such a great discussion. Again, my perception of God continues to morph. Julie, you are divine!
I hope you will excuse my wickedness, but the first thought I had when I saw the picture of the vase was that I thought it would look good mounted on top of that "leg lamp" from the movie "A Christmas Story."
I know, I know... I'm shamelessly shallow and tacky, but that's what crossed my mind, and I just have this strange compulsion to confess it to you.
I think it is beautiful and eloquent Julie...Don't pay any attention to Dave...He likes to think of himself as culturally literate but this just goes to show there is a barbarian underneath those professor glasses he wears...

Oh, and I'll be bringing clothes for the vase!

in case you don't know what I'm referring to.
Nice lamp, really nice lamp. Okay, I have to use an emoticon ;^)>

You're right, Dave. It was intended as a "major award" just like the leg lamp in the movie!
